A blog against ana and mia

The view on beauty these days has changed enormously. A lot of people consider ‘thin’ as their beauty standard.
Being thin has become their life goal. People compare themselves to superthin models and the fashion industry is
being blamed for the increasing numbers of eating disorders.
As a blogger, I share my view on beauty with the world and I am aware of the fact that my posts can be triggering for some people. But I definitely don’t support eating disorders and I never will.

I suffered from an eating disorder and I still fight against this mental illness every single day. This disease is not glamorous. It is a life threatening disease and it should never be glamourised.
I think these ‘pro-ana and pro-mia’ blogs and websites, where an eating disorder is seen as a life goal, are disgusting. They see it as something amazing that will finally make you happy, because you’ll be thin. Well, let me tell you something, it won’t make you happy, it never will. You’ll be anything but happy.
Beauty is a matter of taste but it can only be achieved through being healthy and happy. And an eating disorder won’t make you happy and healthy.

If you have any questions or want to talk about your eating disorder (anonymously) feel free to leave a message so I can try to support you as much as I can.
